Grammaire savoir-faire is a single-volume grammar book for those studying French at beginner and intermediate level. The volume is made up of a series of double-page units; each including a page of theory and a page of exercises.
The grammar structures are presented clearly and concisely, focussing on the communicative aspects of the language. The type of exercises provided are organised in a logical order, and are extremely varied: gap-fill, multiple-choice, sentence transformations, true or false, sentence ordering, listening activities etc.
The numerous illustrations enrich the text and allow the students to learn actively.
The exercises on phonetics help the students to understand the rules of pronunciation.
A number of bilans allow assessment of the language skills acquired.
At the end of the volume, a series of revision exercises and an exit test revise the more difficult structures studied in the volume.
There is an appendix containing tables of some of the main difficulties in the French language, a Petit dictionnaire du français familierand the complete conjugations of the main verbs.
CD-ROM
The volume is accompanied by a CD which can be used as an audio CD or a CD-ROM:
• the audio part contains the exercises on phonetics and the listening exercises;
• the ROM part contains numerous revision exercises.
The answer key is available separately.
